We love stories; we especially love the stories that have happy endings. We love the peaks and valleys, the struggles and victories, the unexpected twists of stories…if they have happy endings. Our lives are stories, and we want the happy endings, just like the fairy tales we heard as children. But even the fairy tales had conflicts with dragons, witches and monsters of all kinds. There is no real story without struggles, hardships, and enemies of different kinds. Every life story has it times of walking through valleys, struggling to overcome unheard of obstacles and even facing certain death. We will count it all worthwhile, though, if we know we have a happy ending coming our way. The question is how we get the happy ending.
The only happy ending that is guaranteed, that is even possible, is when we allow God to help us write our life stories. He sees the unexpected plot twists coming our way. He knows the tactics of our enemies and their plans. He knows our weaknesses and strengths, and when and where we will need his protection and deliverance. He even knows how to beat death. He is the only one who can control the story line so that a happy ending is the result. If you want to read one example of this, read Mark 5:1-20.
Your life story can be one of victory and triumph. You can be the valiant one who discovers unknown strengths. You can become the one that others look to for inspiration, for the hope of a similar happy ending. You can even beat death. This can be you if you allow God to help you write your story. How do you do that? Seek him out in prayer, through reading the Bible. Those are always good places to start getting God involved.
Perhaps I can help you a bit more if God opens the door for a book I wrote (When God Speaks…Will You Hear?) to be published. It is a book of stories that can give you insight into how God has written other people’s stories. Some of the stories are contemporary, some are from Jesus’ time on this earth. You and others will likely find yourselves in some of those stories. Like the man in Mark 5, you may learn how to tell others your own story of what God has done for you. Yours can be a story others will want to hear when Gd helps you write it.
Imagine what could happen, if more people allowed God to help them write the stories of their lives, and then shared what God had done for them. Perhaps you have a future as one of God’s storytellers. Pray to God and ask him to help you write your story. Read the Bible, start with the gospels and learn what God wants to write into your story.

Las Historias de Nuestras Vidas
Nos encantan las historias; Nos encantan especialmente las historias que tienen finales felices. Nos encantan los picos y los valles, las luchas y las victorias, los giros inesperados de las historias… si tienen finales felices. Nuestras vidas son historias y queremos finales felices, tal como los cuentos de hadas que escuchábamos cuando éramos niños. Pero incluso los cuentos de hadas tenían conflictos con dragones, brujas y monstruos de todo tipo. No hay historia real sin luchas, penurias y enemigos de distinta índole. Cada historia de vida tiene momentos de caminar por valles, luchar por superar obstáculos inauditos e incluso enfrentar una muerte segura. Sin embargo, consideraremos que todo vale la pena si sabemos que nos espera un final feliz. La pregunta es cómo conseguimos el final feliz.
El único final feliz garantizado, que incluso es posible, es cuando permitimos que Dios nos ayude a escribir la historia de nuestra vida. Él ve los giros inesperados de la trama que se avecinan. Él conoce las tácticas de nuestros enemigos y sus planes. Él conoce nuestras debilidades y fortalezas, y cuándo y dónde necesitaremos su protección y liberación. Incluso sabe cómo vencer a la muerte. Él es el único que puede controlar la trama para que el resultado sea un final feliz. Si quieres leer un ejemplo de esto, lee Marcos 5:1-20.

Quizás pueda ayudarte un poco más si Dios abre la puerta para que se publique un libro que escribí (Cuando Dios Habla... ¿Escucharás?). Es un libro de historias que puede darle una idea de cómo Dios ha escrito las historias de otras personas. Algunas de las historias son contemporáneas, otras son de la época de Jesús en esta tierra. Es probable que usted y otras personas se encuentren en algunas de esas historias. Al igual que el hombre de Marcos 5, puedes aprender a contarles a otros tu propia historia de lo que Dios ha hecho por ti. La tuya puede ser una historia que otros querrán escuchar cuando Dios te ayude a escribirla.
Imagínese lo que podría suceder si más personas permitieran que Dios les ayudara a escribir las historias de sus vidas y luego compartieran lo que Dios había hecho por ellos. Quizás tengas un futuro como uno de los narradores de Dios. Ora a Dios y pídele que te ayude a escribir tu historia. Lea la Biblia, comience con los evangelios y aprenda lo que Dios quiere escribir en su historia.
